A grand night out is in store for Maidenhead Royal Borough revellers when they get the opportunity to 'have a ball' and help keep Shopmobility on the road.

Windsor and Maidenhead Shopmobility and WAMU, (Windsor & Maidenhead Users' Network) will be holding a Grand Charity Ball on Saturday September 30 in the Desborough Suite of the Town Hall, Maidenhead, with proceeds in aid of the borough's Shopmobility.

Set to be a hot date for the autumn, the Maidenhead ball will include a carvery dinner, bar service and a 20-piece dance band to help the evening go with a swing. Plans for the night also include a prize auction.

The aim is to raise funds for new wheelchairs and scooters to replace the current ageing fleet, as well as to promote the further expansion of Shopmobility services for people who are disabled and older members of the community.
